About the center
The Prince Sultan Defense Studies and Research Center (PSDSARC) was established by the esteemed Council of Ministers Resolution No. (339), dated 16 Sha’ban 1437 AH (May 23, 2016). The Center aims to strengthen and support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s defense and security objectives by conducting and developing high-quality and advanced research in defense, security, and strategic domains, in alignment with the plans and strategies set forth by the General Authority for Defense Development.
Organizationally affiliated with the General Authority for Defense Development, PSDSARC serves as a vital pillar within the Kingdom’s defense and security ecosystem. Through its roles, the Center contributes to the localization of military industries and the advancement of their outputs in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Center houses several advanced laboratories dedicated research and innovation, led by a distinguished group of qualified national talents. These teams conduct cutting-edge research, monitor advancements in defense technologies, and drive innovation according to international best practices, positioning the Kingdom as a key player in the development of defense technologies.
